Forty-four black plates hang on wires at six depths, three metres deep. From one exact point in the room they line up into Bob Dylan. Step off that point and he comes apart into the shapes he was made of. Keep walking: the plates turn on their wires, change their outlines, slide along the grid, and from the opposite side of the room they line up again — into Leonard Cohen.
Every plate is scaled by its distance from the eye, so near and far pieces cover the same part of the picture. Everything you see is drawn live by shaders. The minimal version keeps only the plates and their wires; the gallery version hangs them in a lit room, with reflections and shadows.
